Donation Options

There are several different ways that you can donate to the mission and ministry of Faith United. Donations can be designated to Church Work in Durham (our support to local social service programs) or Mission and Service (the United Church program for work in Canada and around the world). All undesignated donations contribute to support our congregation’s expenses so that we can support the ministries named above. Income tax receipts are provided for all donations.

In person donations are received on Sunday mornings at worship. We do not pass the plate; you will find the offering plates on the table as you enter the sanctuary.

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) can be arranged through the office. These donations automatically move from your account to the church’s on the 20^th of the month. There is a small processing fee for this method of donation, but it is offset by the regular nature of monthly contributions throughout the year.

We have recently added e-transfer to our donation options. You can transfer funds directly to donations@faithunited.ca (notice the “s” on the end of “donation”). There is no charge to the church for this option.

Finally, you can donate through Canada Helps directing the funds to Faith United. Please note that 3.8% of your donation is kept by Canada Helps for processing. For this option, the church does not provide an income tax receipt. You will receive your receipt directly from Canada Helps.
