Depart at 8:00am – Faith United Church on a highway coach. Travelling in comfort, our first stop will be Griffin’s Greenhouses on Lakefield Rd., Peterborough. This is a beautiful tranquil spot with a pond and stunning flower gardens. There is also a gift shop. Scott’s Concrete is an interesting stop. A gift shop with many unusual items plus lots of larger concrete pieces for your garden or landscaping. We will pay a visit to Kawartha Country Wines in Buckhorn for complementary wine tasting and a tour of their facility. They specialize in fruit & grape wines and cider. Here you can purchase wine, cider and other items. We will visit Lakefield for lunch and shopping. During our stop in Lakefield we highly recommend that you visit The Chocolate Rabbit. There might be some changes to the route as we are still in the planning stages. Tickets are $65 per person. If you would like to reserve a seat for this fun filled trip with lots of games and prizes let us know by phoning the church office 905-433-8953 (visa & Master Card accepted)
Know someone who can’t make Sunday mornings or prefers more contemporary music? Tell them about our night worship service featuring all praise & worship music, and the same sermon and prayers as the morning. Returns September 16th at 7:15 pm.
Anyone between the ages of 18 and 50 (think of post-secondary to pre-retirement) is invited to attend for a time of fellowship and food. We will share a potluck meal and get to know each other. Our first project might be to come up with a catchy name for the group! Married, not married, kids, no kids, all are welcome.

There are three themes in her presentation:
1. We must solve the climate crisis: We have a moral obligation to ourselves and future generations to stop the crisis devastating our planet.
2. We can solve the climate crisis: We have the affordable clean energy technologies to power our economy and end the crisis in our hands today.
3. We will solve the climate crisis: With millions of citizens standing up to force our leaders to act, we will solve the crisis together.

Faith United Church is pleased to sponsor “You Know I Can’t Hear You When the Water’s Running” (comedy by Robert Anderson) at the Herongate Barn Theatre.
This was one of the most successful comedies in Broadway history. The topic is sex, in all its mysterious and fascinating manifestations, and the treatment of this is so skillful, tasteful and explosively funny that “the scenes are not only captivating and touching but universal in appeal.“
Tickets are $65 (tax included). $30 of the proceeds from each ticket will be retained by Faith United to support Community Outreach Programs. Tax receipts will be issued for this amount. Admission includes a classic buffet meal including top choice roast beef and the theatrical show.
Arrival time is at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm.
Tickets available soon!
