Congregation

Faith United is special!

There’s something about this church! You can feel it the moment you walk in – especially at worship time.

  • Celebrating our 25th year in 2022
  • Pre-pandemic averaged 130-150 worshippers on a typical Sunday
  • Currently (summer 2022) 40-60 in-person, plus another 150-200 views of our Livestream (or the recording) on YouTube
  • An amalgamation originally of the former St. Andrew’s United in Oshawa and the former Courtice United – then joined several years ago by the former Harmony United in Oshawa
  • We are an “Affirming Ministry”
  • We are fully wheelchair accessible

Children & Youth Ministry

Joyful Noise
Joyful Noise is Faith United Children’s Programme for ages 3/JK to Grade 5. It runs every Sunday from the beginning of September until the end of June. Children spend a few minutes in the church service and then after a Children’s Time with our minister, they go out to Joyful Noise, where they are invited to learn about a story from the Bible, do a craft, watch a movie & explore.

J.A.M (Jesus And Me)
Grade 6 and up. Watching video series “Nooma” once a month. Explores challenges that face us everyday and how to use God’s teachings in a current way.

Youth Group
Our Youth Group is an opportunity for youth in Grade 6 and up to be part of a group that shares fun and fellowship, creative activities, outreach and spiritual development.  Going on outings as a group, volunteering and having fun (bowling, St. Vincent’s Kitchen) This group meets at least twice per month, virtually.

The UCW (United Church Women)

The United Church Women of Faith United Church meet once per month (second Tuesday), for a time of study and fellowship.

All women are welcome!
